Ten years ago, I was preparing to make my mark in the hospitality industry. I was working as an operations and revenue manager on the D.C. and New York teams of one of the largest chains of award-winning boutique hotels in the U.S.
Then, I unexpectedly fell into an opportunity that ignited a passion for tech and changed the trajectory of my career. I joined the operational team for a travel deal site and a few months into the role I was asked to help the Senior Product Managers with prioritizing and planning their internal backlog. That sparked an interest and love for working behind the scenes with internal tools; building and perfecting the workflows, systems, and interfaces used by my colleagues.
I believe in making things better, one intentional change at a time. This mission kick-started my career in hospitality and continues to drive my passion as a tech professional. It also led me to start volunteering with Pursuit almost 4 years ago.
When I learned about Pursuit's commitment to improving the tech industry and career experience for diverse and underserved talent, I knew I wanted to get involved. Whether it’s through mock interviewing, panel discussions, or mentorship, I hope to serve as a resource.
My goal is to inspire and empower the next generation of leaders in tech to push the industry to its best performance yet—and then, to make it even better.
